The Douglas County Livestock Association has numerous events and activities throughout the year. These include:
- Spring Conference (Educational events with seminars, informational displays, and lunch)
- Annual summer picnic and barbecue in July
- Annual meeting and banquet held in October
- Stockman’s Breakfast held Nov through June (Featured speakers and market updates)
- Lamb show with 4H and FFA auction and barbecue (First Saturday in June)
- Youth Jackpot Steer and Heifer Show
- Wool Pool (Applications due in March)
- Watershed Council representation
- Purebred Breeders Group (Breeder clinics, ultrasounds etc.)
- Monthly Newsletters (News, free ads and events- mailed to all members)
- Monthly board meetings (Open to all members)
- Membership directory (Member names addresses and phone numbers plus many useful contact numbers)
- Strong working relationship with OSU Extension Service and strong links to the Oregon Cattleman’s Assoc., the Oregon Sheep Growers Assoc. and the Oregon Farm Bureau Federation.
